Product framing of the application statuses shown to the candidate. UX differentiation of three situations: sent (email mode or successfully transmitted API → 'Application sent on…' + 'Did you get a reply?'), redirected (web mode → 'You were redirected to the recruiter site' + 'Did you apply?'), and errored (handled separately). The framing notably surfaced, through code review, the mode=api case missing from the parent issue but present in the codebase — mapped to the right situation.
